Teens & Leadership Summer Camps are full of energy and all the best that Circle Square Ranch has to offer!  Programs are geared towards junior and senior highschool students with epic adventures and life changing experiences. We’ve got amazing facilities for you to explore horseback riding, out-tripping, canoeing, wall climbing, archery, swimming, sports, and much more! You will also have the incredible opportunity to learn about God’s love and to discuss what a relationship with Him could look like.
We also run leadership training programs for teens who are wanting to grow in character and leadership ability as well as to learn how to make a difference for Christ in their home communities.

Pre-LIT: Bronze Cross is the waterfront stream in our skills-based pre-leadership-in-training program. This is an excellent stepping stone for campers interested in participating in the Leadership in Training (LIT) program in the future. Focus areas include leadership, spiritual and personal development through challenging activities, Bible studies and opportunities to serve. Pre-LIT: Bronze Cross is an excellent way to get your life guarding qualifications, learn about leadership, grow in you walk with God, and have a blast at camp all at the same time!

 

Please note that all program participants will be trained in the material and have the opportunity to take the exams to recieve Bronze Medallion and Bronze Cross certifications. Certification will be given only if participants meet the high standards required by instructors and examiners.

There are no pre-requisites but Bronze Star is reconmended. Applicants should be good swimmers and able to follow technical instructions.

Pre-LIT: Wrangler is the horsemanship stream in our skills-based pre-leadership-in-training program. This is an excellent stepping stone for campers interested in participating in our Leadership in Training (LIT) program in the future. Focus areas include leadership, spiritual and personal development through challenging activities, Bible studies and opportunities to serve. Participants will spend most of their days at the barn learning about riding, caring for and training horses at a more advanced level than Western Town campers.

Pre-LIT Wilderness program is the adventure stream in our skills-based pre-leadership-in-training program. This is an excellent stepping stone for campers interested in participating in our Leadership in Training (LIT) program in the future. Focus areas include leadership, spiritual and personal development through challenging activities, Bible studies and opportunities to serve. Participants will spend their days challenging themselves in a variety of outdoor adventure activities including an epic multiday trekking adventure and a challenging multiday canoe trip.

This three week program recognizes, develops and expands leadership potential. Students learn to lead in any environment through skill development, one-to-one mentoring, Bible teaching, and a two week practicum serving at the Ranch.

 

Weeks 1 & 2
The first two weeks of the program are an intensive time of learning and development. You’ll be given many hands-on opportunities to develop your skills and leadership abilities, to grow in your faith and to take part in a challenging 4 day out-trip! During this training period you will be guided and mentored by our staff (selected as models of Christian servant leaders) as they help you explore and reach the potential of who you were created to be.

Weeks 3
In the third week of LIT you will put your learning and skills to the test back at the ranch as you join the staff team in serving and leading our camp!

Applicants must have completed grade 9 and be 14 to 17 years old. Applicants are accepted into the program based on their application, interview and references.. All submissions will be considered, however registration is limited for this course. Confirmation of acceptance will be sent once all references have been received.

LITs who complete the program in good standing are encouraged to apply to work at Circle Square Ranch as volunteer staff for subsequent weeks in the summer or in the following years.

This program is for high school students who want to enjoy camp life while leveling up their resume and boosting their confidence. Along with enjoying campfire, the lake and a taste of challenging camp activities and lots of free time, participants will spend time learning practical skills hands-on. No boring classes allowed! From the kitchen to the workshop, spend time finding out what you have knack for. Each day there will be interactive coaching time where you get to work on life skills that EVERYONE needs to put time into getting good at. Leave with a reference, new confidence, new friends and camp memories for a lifetime.
We are going to pack the best of Western into 4 incredible days, from boating and horseback riding to worship and skits. It’s a great add on for the older Western Town campers to stay for a couple more days after session 7, or for those teens who want to end your summer with a bang! Come squeeze out a little more fun out of summer, you won’t want to miss it!
